September Performances
After a busy summer with performances at festivals throughout Europe, Sol Gabetta takes a late summer break in September, and starts her 2023/24 season with a return to the stage with the Antwerpen Symphony Orchestra.

August Performances
In August, Sol performs concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and France. She begins the month with a tour alongside violinist Veronika Eberle and viola player, Antoine Tamestit. The musicians bring their programme of Beethoven’s Duet in E-flat major for Viola and Cello WoO. 32 (“Duett mit zwei obligaten Augengläsern”), and String Trio in G Major, op. 9, no. 1, and Dohnányi’s Serenade for String Trio in C Major, op. 10 interspersed with intermezzi by J.S. Bach and miniatures by György Kurtág, to various festivals including the Gstaad Festival in Saanen, Klosters Music Festival, Rheingau Festival in Ingelheim and the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades.

July Performances
Sol’s concerts in July bring her to Switzerland, Austria and Germany. She begins her month at the Solsberg Festival, as both performer and as artistic director. Celebrating its eighteenth season, the festival opened at the end of June, and performances continue into July. She continues her collaboration with pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout and violinist Isabelle Faust (having just completed a tour with them in June) at the Solsberg Festival through the first week of July. The program features works such as Beethoven’s Variations on Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte for piano and cello in F-Dur, op. 66, Ries’ Grande Sonate in g-Moll, op. 125 for cello and piano, and Schubert’s Piano Sonata in E-flat major D 568. In her final two performances of the festival, Sol forms a sextet, presenting Strauss’ Metamorphosen für Streichsextett und Kontrabass (Rekonstruktion der Urfassung für Streichsextett und Kontrabass von Rudi Leopold).

June Performances
This June, Sol begins the month with a performance at the Septembre Musical Festival in Montreux with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. The programme includes Édouard Lalo’s Concerto pour violoncelle en ré mineur and Maurice Ravel’s Ma mère l’Oye: 5 pièces enfantines. She then begins her tour of Germany and Switzerland with violinist Isabelle Faust, pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout and the Kammerorchester Basel under the baton of Giovanni Antonini.

May Performances
In May, Sol embarks on a tour of Germany and Italy with Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under the baton of Maestro Paavo Järvi. On the program is Haydn’s Sinfonie Nr. 93 D-Dur Hob I:93 and Sinfonie Nr. 104 D-Dur Hob I:104, as well as Schumann’s Konzert für Violoncello und Orchester a-Moll op. 129. The tour begins with three performances in Bremen, followed by Hannover, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Turin, and Reggio Emilia.
